本日、10月20日（木）より、
アート展が開催される。
開催されるアート展は、
ウェールズ人アーティストのデザイナーで
映像作家のマーク・ジェームズ氏による
日本初の個展。
“CULTURE CLASH”（カルチャークラッシュ）と
題された初個展は、過去20年間に日本を訪れた経験から
インスピレーションを得て、日本文化のシンボルを
ピックアップし、独自のスタイルで再構築したもの。
ゴミ袋を加工して新しい形を作り出す
ジェームズの特徴的なコラージュベースの
アートワークなど、新旧の作品が披露されるそう。

‘CULTURE CLASH’ is the first solo exhibition in Japan by Welsh artist, designer and filmmaker Mark James.
The work is inspired by his visits to Japan over the last 20 years.
Taking Japanese cultural icons and reworking them in his own unique style.
The show, which is supported by Wales Arts International, features new and existing pieces, including collage based artwork, using James’ signature style of manipulating garbage bags to create new forms.
From a black garbage bag Tanuki, to a samurai helmet made from pharmaceutical packaging.
The show will run from 20th to 27th October at the RFW Showroom in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
With an opening reception on Friday 21st October.
